Neurofeedback for ADHD

Neurofeedback is a safe and evidence-based, effective treatment to manage ADHD.

Neurofeedback, unlike some medications, is reported to have no negative physical side effects. In addition, the neurofeedback training appears to produce permanent changes in learning and behavior.

One study of 140 adults showed significant improvement for some of the symptoms of ADHD such as inattention, impulsivity, and variability of response time after 20 or more sessions of neurofeedback.

Another study involving children with ADD linked neurofeedback training to improved I.Q. scores. In this study, the children learned how to concentrate using neurofeedback which enabled them to be more attentive and alert during the test.

There is a growing body of research demonstrating the effectiveness of neurofeeedback in helping people with ADHD better manage their symptoms.

It is recommended that you check with your doctor to see if neurofeedback is a viable option.
